A Beacon of Compassion, A Legacy of Love.
It is with heavy hearts that we, at The BrandLaureate, bid farewell to YBhg Datin Paduka Dr A. Mangalam, fondly known as the ‘Mother Teresa of Malaysia’ and the recipient of The BrandLaureate Brand ICON Leadership Award 2013 – Grand Master Icon.
Co-founding the Pure Life Society in 1949, she dedicated an astounding 74 years as its president, serving orphans and underprivileged children and earning the endearing title of ‘Mother Mangalam.’ Alongside her humanitarian work, she also fostered unity as the Malaysia Inter-Religious Organisation vice-president, and her remarkable contributions have earned her national recognition, including the Kesatria Mangku Negara and Pingat Jasa Kebangsaan.
Mother Mangalam’s unwavering devotion to uplifting others exemplifies the power of compassion and empathy. Her legacy as an icon of love, hope, and humanity will forever inspire us. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, the Pure Life Society, and all touched by her extraordinary presence. May you find comfort and strength during this difficult time.
