A power outage at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur during the evening of June 1st 2022 led to the Gala Dinner of The BrandLaureate SMEs BestBrands Awards 2022 to be postponed to June 2nd 2022.
The BrandLaureate sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused to its guests and recipients and will hold the dinner on June 2nd 2022 at Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Statement from The BrandLaureate World President, Dr KKJohan โ Today 1st June, I was so excited and well prepared for The Awardโs Night. Excitement was in the air, everything was set to go for a great event, we had rehearsals after rehearsal, we sent out invitation cards, invited members of the media and prepared ourselves to host and celebrate with our recipients and guest but a turn of an event took us by surprise, a power outage at Majestic Hotel, KL from 5.30pm and was told that itโll come on within an hour, an hour turned into a few hours and I couldnโt bare to host the award ceremony when the time almost approaching to 9.30pm. I had to make the call to postpone the event as itโs already too late for all the distinguished guests and recipients.
Myself and my team will postpone the event to tomorrow night (2nd June 2022), we must brand on, we must recognise the hard work of SMEs brands that have worked tirelessly these years despite the pandemic. Tonightโs event reminds me of the pandemic, reminds me of resilience, despite the unforeseen circumstances, WE MUST BRAND ON, WE MUST GO ON. From the bottom of my heart, sorry for the inconveniences to all esteemed guests both from far and near. We at The BrandLaureate look forward to celebrating great SMEs and Prominent brands tomorrow.
