Think of your Brand strategy as a blueprint to create your Brand identity —
whether that’s your logo design, your social media voice, or the look and
feel of your designs.
When you are building your Brand strategy, you need to:
1. Define who you are. Who are you as a company? If you are
not clear about your Brand identity, your branding will feel
scattered and confusing.
2. Understand your point of difference. What makes you
different from other Brands out there? Why should your
customers work with you over the competition?
3. Create your Brand Mission Statement. Your mission
statement is the “Why” behind your business.
You can do that by filling in the blanks below.
Our company exists to ______.
In five years, we plan to ______.
4. Write down your values. What do you stand for? Your
corporate values will not only drive your internal strategy, it
will also help you connect externally with your customers.
5. Get clear on your ideal customers. Build a Brand that
appeals to your target customers — but it’s impossible to do
that if you don’t know who those customers are. Create an
ideal customer avatar and use it to drive your branding
process forward.
Your Brand strategy will act as the blueprint of your entire branding process
— to make sure that your end product is in line with your ultimate goals.
