Released on 2 November, 2021, the plot follows a young couple who live peacefully in a tribal community until the husband Rajakannu (K. Manikandan) is arrested and tortured by police in a false case.
When the authorities inform the pregnant wife Sengani (Lijomol Jose) that her partner had escaped custody and was missing, she turns to a human rights lawyer Chandru (Suriya) to help bring justice to the case.
The movie – set in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu – is based on a true incident that unfolded in 1993.
