Congratulations to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Riโayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with his official birthday celebration on Monday (Sept 9, 2019).
During the occasion, the city was festively adorned with yellow-hued banners and posters, featuring the images of the King.
At Istana Negara, activities included the conferment of Federal awards and medals while a royal tea ceremony was held in the evening.
During his speech at the investiture ceremony of Federal Awards and honours at Istana Negara, The King reminded all Malaysians not to play up sensitive issues in the interests of any (political) party.
He said every citizen has been promised rights and freedom in accordance with the Federal Constitution, but that freedom must not go beyond the values that are fundamental for national unity.
โSo (too) as in politics. There must be a line and limit that should not be crossed,
โBelieve me, the unity, peace, and harmony that have been built over these 62 years, if we ever lose it, will be very difficult to get back.โ
His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah, was also a recipient of The BrandLaureate Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Brand Icon Leadership Award in 2014.
