Rotary International is the world’s first service club, 117 years in the making. On May 10, 2022, the organization received The BrandLaureate Premier Award 2022 in recognition of its many initiatives and contributions to making the world a better place. Rotary International President Dr. Shehkar Mehta, received the award for Rotary International from World President of The BrandLaureate Dr. KKJohan. This award is an encouragement to Rotary International to continue serving the community, promote integrity, and advance goodwill and peace to improve lives around the world.
Rotary International President Dr. Shehkar Mehta also won the Global Community Brand ICON Leadership Award 2022. Dr.Shekhar, a true blue Rotarian is a man with king-sized dreams and a heart of gold. A member of the Rotary World since 1984, he has served in various capacities in the Rotarian realm where his commitment and dedication to the Rotary community is second to none and indeed most inspiring. He lives and breathes Rotary and his strong passion for community service has led him to initiate many programs that have impacted the lives of communities in India and around the world.
