About 30 top brands and brand personalities in the country were honored for their brand success at the inaugural BrandLaureate e-Branding awards on August 3, 2020
The virtual award presentation was featured โliveโ onย www.fb.com/thebrandlaureateย from 8-9pm and attracted more than10,000 viewers.
Unlike the usual gala dinner held at hotel ballrooms — going virtual makes the award borderless so that everyone can tune in and celebrate with the awardees.
Led by the World President DrKKJohan and his creative team, the e-Branding awards marks a new milestone for the foundation.
During his speech, DrKKJohan said: โTonight is a special night as The BrandLaureate has organized its first e-Branding Awards
“Due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, many big and small companies have closed, downsized, or filed for bankruptcy.
Therefore the never-give-up spirit is vital for brands during these trying times, and we at The BrandLaureate would like to honor these brands for their achievements.
BRAND PERSONALITIES
The BrandLaureate e-Branding awards were presented to several prominent local personalities who have made the news recently for their remarkable achievements and contributions.
First and foremost was Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, the Director-General of Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia who received the Most Outstanding BrandLeadership Achievement in Administration Covid-19 Pandemic, for his pivotal role in flattening the curve of the disease.
Next is Malaysian singer, songwriter, and composer Dato Wah Idris, who performed his evergreen tune Standing In The Eyes of the World.
Another rising star was Jeryl Lee Pei Ling, who performed the song Respect 1000000, a tribute to the Covid-19 frontliners. She was honored with The BrandLaureate Country Branding Award 2020.
