South Korean current affairs caricature artist Artmandu ( Choi Jae-yong, YTN) receiving the Best Artist Award in the Personal Brand Category at The BrandLaureate World BestBrands Awards 2019 hosted by The World Brands Foundation (TWBF).
Artmandu has exhibited various caricature works on overseas stages including Chicago, New York, and Paris.
He received the award at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore on October 31, 2019.
Founded in 2005 in Malaysia, The BrandLaureate Awards has featured over 400 international brand personalities across 80 countries over the past 14 years. Notable personalities include footballer Lionel Messi, actor Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, singer Adele, Olivia Newton John, entrepreneur Bill Gates and investor Jim Rogers.
Two Koreans personalities Golf Player Choi Kyung-ju, and Astronaut Lee So-yeon are also previous recipients of the awards.
The BrandLaureate Country President from Korea Dorian Ahn, said: “The award of Artmandu means that ‘K Art’ has moved closer to the center of the world stage.”
