Forbes has unveiled the 2021 edition of the World’s Billionaires List.
The rich just keep getting richer as “the number of billionaires on Forbes’ 35th annual list of the world’s wealthiest exploded to an unprecedented 2,755 –– 660 more than a year ago.
Of those, a record high 493 are new to the list –– with roughly one every 17 hours, including 210 from China and Hong Kong.
Globally, the top spot is still taken by Jeff Bezos with a fortune of US$177 billion, closely followed by Elon Musk with a net worth of US$151 billion, and Bernard Arnault with US$150 billion.
