The former water polo athlete played a major role in the development of national sports and his professional contributions advanced the Olympic movement in Malaysia where he is known by many as one of the individuals responsible for the prospering of the OCM, being there from its early years to the institution that stands strong today. YBhg Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi left behind incredible legacies, such as the establishment of OCM administration structure, OCM’s annual dinner and awards night, Olympian of the Year Award, OCM’s Fame Hall and OCM’s marketing and sponsorship program.
Indeed, YBhg Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi’s life is a testament that determination and passion will continue to be an inspiration to all Malaysians for a lifetime. May his soul rest in peace.
