Established in 1928, Rotary Club Kuala Lumpur DiRaja is a non-governmental organization that provides community services focusing on the six international pillars — Promoting Peace, Fighting Disease, Providing Clean Water, Saving Mothers & Children, Supporting Education and Growing Local Economies.
Since it began, the club has been instrumental in organizing and implementing many community projects that have become the cornerstone of Kuala Lumpurโs rich and cultural landscape.
Among its notable projects include community outreach programs for the Malaysian Association of the Blind, Zoo Negara, Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital, Heart Foundation of Malaysia, Rotary-PERKIM Rehabilitation Centre, Tanjong Sepat Orang Asli Furniture Workshop, BRDB Rotary Childrenโs Residence, and many more.
These distinguished acts of contribution and community service have led the club to receive the royal status of โDiRajaโ, which makes them the first in the world to do so.
