LATA Mangeshkar, also known as “the Nightingale of India”, was honored at a State Funeral in India on Friday (Feb 6, 2022).
The Hindi songstress, recognised for her voice in Indian movies for more than 70 years, was well known for her soulful melodies including Aayega Aanewala, Lag Jaa Gale and Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Ye.
A remarkably talented artist, she has contributed significantly to the world of music and entertainment with her exceptional talent.
In February 2017, the news went viral when Lata Mangeshkar won The BrandLaureate Legendary Award which came as a delightful surprise to many of her fans.
Lata responded by saying: โA heartfelt thank you to The BrandLaureate for honoring me with the Legendary Award 2017,โ she posted on Twitter alongside an image of the award.
A true music legend, Lata has remained the most beloved voice of India for many decades, and her golden voice will continue to echo in our hearts forever.
