Having received the prize in 2019, Messi now holds the record as the third player in football history to win The Best FIFA Menโs Player more than once.
The renowned award honours Messiโs brilliant performance during the years 2021 to 2022, as he captained Argentina to global victory at the World Cup 2022, scoring seven goals and assisting three in seven games during the competition. The 35-year-old Football Legend also excelled for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 17 goals, including his 700th career goal, as PSG won the Ligue 1 title over Marseille.
