PETALING JAYA (Wed, Aug 19, 2020) — The first batch of graduates from The BrandLaureate Masterclass Strategic Intelligence Branding Certification received their certificates of completion today.

A total of 14 graduates accompanied by their colleagues and loved ones attended the graduation ceremony held at the international Brand Gallery on Level 3, at the BrandLaureate headquarters at Damansara Utama, followed by lunch.

Three students who scored distinction in the program were Dr. Alan Poon CEO of Superior Wealth Resource, Vevine Ng Senior Brand Executive of Bidor Kwong Heng, and Tony Goh GM of The BrandLaureate.

All graduates received the Certificate in Strategic Intelligence Branding with a golden medallion issued by Manipal Prolearn and The BrandLaureate.

Also present during the ceremony were World President of The BrandLaureate DrKKJohan, CEO Chew Bee Peng, Chairman Tan Sri Rainer Althoff, and Principal Operations Officer of Manipal University Bharath Vasudevan.

During his speech, Tan Sri Rainer Althoff said those who were present to take

advantage of the course did the right thing as “this was an opportune time to become a brand expert by learning how to plan, create, and maintain a purpose-driven brand and develop the skills and strategies to succeed in the digital world.”

He added the online course is suitable for freshers and professionals who want to understand the dynamics of building brands, generate higher revenues, and improve their skillsets.

The BrandLaureate Masterclass Strategic Intelligence Branding Certification program is a HRDF certified program.

The curriculum is divided into five comprehensive modules covering various aspects of managing brands strategically — understanding the concept of branding, creating brand blueprints, engaging brands, developing brand equity, and doing brand research.

The course is taught through online videos, reading materials, and real-life industry examples. There are also case studies involving actual business problems and scenarios and how to solve them.

During his speech, Principal Operations Officer of Manipal University Bharath Vasudevan said “Manipal Education is a global leader in delivering top-quality higher education in the last six decades and currently has 500,000 students worldwide.”

He added brands must continue to evolve in this era of new normal and he is proud that Manipal has co-developed the online branding program with The BrandLaureate to give companies a competitive edge in these uncertain times.

Founded in 2005 by World President DrKKJohan, The World Brands Foundation (TWBF) is the world’s only Branding foundation.

During his speech, DrKKJohan said the brand is the business and the business is the brand, and successful companies use a combination of Strategy, Branding and Intelligence to move their brands forward, because “without intelligence, you will never be able to create an impact to execute your plan,” he said.

“Therefore the BrandLaureate will continue to educate and communicate the

value of branding to nurture outstanding Malaysian brands and bring them to the international platform,” he said.

DrKKJohan also urged the graduants who have benefitted from the program to become brand ambassadors to promote the e-Branding course and awards to their community.
