CONGRATULATIONS to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah who was conferred the title “Tan Sri” at Istana Melawati in Putrajaya today.
Noor Hisham and 11 others received the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which also carries the title Tan Sri.
He was one of the 829 recipients of the 2020 Federal Awards, bestowed in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah’s birthday on June 8, 2020.
The investiture ceremony was moved to this August 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic which forced the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO).
In humble acknowledgment of the award, Noor Hisham posted on his Facebook page: “Alhamdulilah, this title and degree of greatness is a tribute to all the front line officers and behind the scenes of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM). It is also the symbol of faith and government appreciation to civil servants,
“May all the appreciation given to the officers in fighting this COVID-19 pandemic burn our spirit to continue doing the task for the health of the people and the safety of the country.”
On July 17, Noor Hisham was awarded the BrandLaureate “Outstanding BrandLeadership Award 2020” for his heroic leadership in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
He said: “We have faced many challenges and obstacles during this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we have managed to overcome them all together as one,
“The awards reflect the dedication, commitment, sacrifice, and resilience of every individual in the Ministry of Health and various agencies to provide the best healthcare service for the Rakyat and nation.”
Congratulations Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah again on your success. The awards will always stand as a worthy recognition to you and the Ministry of Health Malaysia, and frontliners for their commitment and sacrifice in saving lives and bringing healing to the nation.
